Beef and Pork Shares

Pasture raised beef. Our cows graze on mixed grasses in our pastures for most of the year. Over the winter they are fed hay which is cut in the abundance summer and fall grass. Our herd is free of all growth hormones. Happy animals with fresh water and lots of space to graze. After taking such care, bringing our animals to our local livestock market to be bid on, loaded and hauled to another state to be brought to a desirable slaughter weight then on to a second state to be processed and distributed did not seem best to us or the animal. With todays marketing opportunities to our local area the traditional method not only did not pay the bills, it also wasted our careful efforts to raise sound healthy animals.

To buy a share of beef is to buy a portion of a live animal on our farm for the purpose of eventual beef in your freezer to feed your family. We arrange a slaughter date with a trusted, experienced butcher who will cut and freeze the meat to your specifications. Here’s an idea of how much space you’ll need for your beef.

Whole cow: 400lbs +/- 15 cubic feet close to a whole typical freezer

Half Cow: 200lbs +/- 8 cubic feet 1/2 typical freezer

Fill out our contact form with the desired meat product along with any questions and we will respond quickly. At this time we can only sell from our location in TN. We are not shipping at this time.
